The Beaufort Blog is an independent multimedia publication based in Beaufort, South Carolina, celebrating local news, Gullah culture, and community life across the Sea Islands.

Founded in 2022 by Sea Island native and award-winning journalist  Sasha Horne, we’re dedicated to authentic storytelling that reflects the real Beaufort — from cultural preservation and local news to the everyday moments that make life in the Lowcountry special.
