Get Prepared: Spring 2025 CERT Basic Training Registration Now Open in Beaufort County

Are you ready to take action when disaster strikes? Beaufort County residents now have the opportunity to gain lifesaving skills through the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training Program—and registration is officially open!

CERT empowers everyday citizens by providing the tools and knowledge needed to stay safe and support others in emergency situations. Whether it’s a hurricane, flood, or other disaster, trained CERT members can step up to assist their families and neighbors when first responders are overwhelmed.

What You’ll Learn:

This free training program covers vital emergency preparedness and response topics including:

Basic disaster response skills Fire safety Light search and rescue Team organization Disaster medical operations

Spring 2025 Training Schedule:

All classes will be held at the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center at 2001 Duke Street, Beaufort. The course spans four evening sessions and concludes with a hands-on Saturday disaster response exercise.

Tuesday, April 22 | 6–8 p.m.

Thursday, April 24 | 6–8 p.m.

Tuesday, April 29 | 6–8 p.m.

Thursday, May 1 | 6–8 p.m.

Saturday, May 3 | 8 a.m. – End of Exercise
