The holidays are in full swing across Beaufort, Port Royal, and the Sea Islands. From donation drives and free community feasts to pajama parties and photo ops with Santa, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the season while supporting our neighbors. Here is your guide to some of the most meaningful and festive events happening this month.
Christmas Bike Drive for Boys and Girls Clubs

Now through Dec. 15
Port Royal Town Hall
700 Paris Avenue
Help bring holiday joy to local children by donating a new bicycle (20–24 inches) or a helmet. All items benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry, St. Helena Club. Donations can be dropped off at Port Royal Town Hall from 8 AM to 5 PM. Deadline has been extended to December 15.

This drive provides freedom, smiles, and lasting memories for local youth. One bike at a time makes a huge difference.
The Annual Live Nativity Scene at Penn Center
Happening Sunday, December 21, this event has been a staple in the Gullah Geechee community since the early 1900s. Come check out this free community sing to hear Christmas songs and see the beautiful live nativity scene. The event takes place at Penn Center's Frissell Hall on St. Helena Island. Doors open at 5pm.

Holiday Homecoming Party at the Beaufort Digital Corridor

The Beaufort Digital Corridor opens its doors for an evening of connection, celebration, and community. Members, alumni, and local partners are invited to come “home” for the holidays and enjoy a festive gathering in the heart of downtown.
Polar Express Kidsmas Pajama Event

Sunday, December 21
2 PM to 5 PM
Shoot to Shot Event Hall
1538 Sea Island Parkway, St. Helena Island
$5 per child
Kids ages 4 and up can wear pajamas and enjoy an afternoon of hot chocolate, popcorn, cookie decorating, and a screening of The Polar Express. Parents may drop off children with sign in and sign out.

Free Community Christmas Lunch in Beaufort

This Christmas Day, Sea Eagle Market is opening its doors to the community for a free Christmas lunch, and everyone is welcome. If you are looking for a warm place to gather, enjoy a good meal, and share fellowship, this event is for you. No one should be alone on Christmas.
