Things to Do in Beaufort, S.C. January 2026 + Partnership Opportunities
The sense of community, culture, and Gullah cuisine are just some of the things that makes living, working, and visiting Beaufort and the Sea Islands of South Carolina so amazing.
Thanks for reading The Beaufort Blog. Each month we publish newsletters featuring the places to go, people to know offering a glimpse into everyday life in and around the Sea Islands of South Carolina.
We braved the cold for the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. parade in downtown Beaufort.
With more than 50 floats we saw many familiar faces including Representative Michael Rivers District 121 (Beaufort & Colleton Counties), Amber Hewitt of AmbersEye Photography, and Rod Williams, band director at Battery Creek High School, Dr.Robert Adams, executive director of the Penn Center (pictured left) and Inez Miller, Community Advocate for De Gullah Shipp (pictured right).

This year, we're partnering with The Island News, Beaufort, South Carolina's newspaper of record to amplify small business voices across the region.

Contact Sasha.TheIslandNews@gmail.com to share your small business story today.
We are also excited to be a member of the Tiny News Collective. Through coaching, tools and strategic support, TNC nurtures a network of indie media founders to launch and grow community-rooted news organizations that endure.
