This practical workshop will take you back to Conjunction Junction and fill in all those “memory gaps.” You’ll be writing the king’s English in no time, and your editors will be grateful!

OktoPRFest in Dowtown Port Royal

The Old Village Association is excited to invite you to the Town of Port Royal SC's annual OktoPRfest "Party Port Royal Style" on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Be sure to watch the opening ceremony for a special surprise honoring the Town’s 150th Birthday!!

Local chefs, restaurants, and food trucks will offer German-inspired dishes such as brats and pretzels, along with American festival food favorites. These delicious treats can be enjoyed with a wide selection of craft, imported, and domestic beers.

Live musical performances and entertainment. Explore the Craft Market Area, featuring several outstanding non-profits sharing their knowledge and efforts.

Families should visit the family fun kids zone between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to meet Lollipop the Clown.

The event will be held on Paris Avenue in the heart of the Old Village of Port Royal.

Sweetgrass Workshop at Morris Center

September 28 at 11 am. Weave some history! Learn about the Gullah roots of sweetgrass baskets while making one to take home. Michael Smalls will guide workshop participants through the process of weaving a small basket or coaster. The raw materials are included in the cost of the workshop, but scissors and nail bone will be returned at the end of the class.
