Finally. An Indoor Playground for Beaufort Kids.

This is one of those ideas where you immediately think, Why didn’t we have this sooner?

Beaufort is finally getting its very first indoor playground, and we could not be more excited. Palmetto Playhouse officially opens on Sunday, January 11, 2026, and it is exactly the kind of space local families have been wishing for.

For years, parents here have navigated rainy days, blazing summer heat, and limited indoor options for little kids. Palmetto Playhouse changes that completely.

This new indoor play space is clean, safe, climate controlled, and designed specifically for toddlers and young children. Think imaginative play areas, climbing and sliding, playhouses, and plenty of room to move!

And opening day is making things extra fun!!

Before play sessions begin, families are invited to come see a real firetruck and meet the firefighters from Beaufort Fire Department. According to the event details, the firetruck visit starts at 11:00 am, giving kids the chance to see the truck up close and meet the firemen before heading inside to play. It is one of those simple, joyful moments that kids will talk about for weeks.
