Looking for something fun, educational, and outdoorsy this summer? Beaufort County has a fantastic lineup of July Nature Programs for all ages. Whether you’re a birdwatcher, nature lover, or just curious about our local wildlife and ecosystems, there’s something for everyone. These events take place in beautiful natural spaces across the county, from Crystal Lake to Fort Frederick.

🐦 Birding Programs

July 10 • Birding at Crystal Lake 8:30 AM

July 16 • Birding at Widgeon Point 9 AM

July 23 • Birding at Whitehall 8:30 AM

July 30  • Birding Fort Frederick 8:30 AM

🐊 Gator Gander

July 17 • Crystal Lake 9 AM

July 24 • Crystal Lake 10 AM –

These guided gator walks are a local favorite! Learn about alligator behavior, safety, and their role in our Lowcountry ecosystem.

🎣 Cast Net Clinics

July 19 – Whitehall  9:00 AM – 10:30 AM July 26 – Whitehall  2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Perfect for beginners and nature-curious fishers! These hands-on clinics teach the traditional art of cast netting in coastal waters.

📚 Special Presentation

July 31 – Beaufort Library Presentation  1 PM

A great indoor option to learn more about local wildlife and conservation efforts in Beaufort County.
