Calling all young readers and families! The Pat Conroy Literary Center’s annual Lowcountry Children’s Book Fair returns Saturday, July 26, with a vibrant lineup of local authors, book signings, live readings, crafts, and activities.
Featured Guests:
- Angela May, co-author of The Islanders series, reads at 11:00 AM.
- Michael B. Moore, great-great-grandson of Robert Smalls, shares from his debut children’s book Freedom on the Sea at 1:00 PM.
- Special appearance by National Park Service Ranger Katherine Freeman at 12:00 PM with a Ranger program.
🎨 Hands-on art and bookmark crafts
🎤 Read-alouds by DAYLO student volunteers
🎶 Live music by Hank Herring
🍔 Food truck on site
🌊 Plus, the Maritime Center will be open from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM!
This free event is a collaboration between the Pat Conroy Literary Center, the Port Royal Sound Foundation, the Storybook Shoppe, and DAYLO.
