Veterans Day Weekend Events in Beaufort, SC

Here’s what’s happening in the Beaufort and Port Royal areas of South Carolina, including two parades and other events planned to honor Veterans Day on Monday, November 11, 2024:

Beaufort Veterans Day Parade - 11/11

• Time: Parade lineup begins at 8:00 AM; the parade starts at 10:00 AM.

• Location: The parade commences in front of Beaufort National Cemetery, proceeding along Adventure Street, Boundary Street, Carteret Street, Bay Street, and concluding at the intersection of Bladen and Boundary Streets.

• Details: Organized by the Beaufort County Department of Veterans Affairs, the parade will feature floats, bands, and community groups. Community members are encouraged to participate and show appreciation for veterans.

Salute to Service: Military Appreciation Day - 11/11

• Time: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

• Location: Naval Heritage Park, Port Royal.

• Details: Following the parade, this event includes performances by the Parris Island Marine Corps Band, free hot dogs for those with military ID, food trucks, children’s activities, presentations by base and local leaders, and a business supporter expo.

These events provide an opportunity for the community to come together in honoring and celebrating the service of veterans.

Heritage Days Annual Festival at Penn Center 11/7-11/9

The Heritage Days Celebration is an annual event held at the historic Penn Center on St. Helena Island, South Carolina. This three-day festival honors the rich Gullah Geechee culture and history through various activities, including live cultural demonstrations, storytelling, music, and traditional food.
