Each year on April 22, communities around the world come together to celebrate Earth Day. Reflect on our planet, deepen our understanding of environmental issues, and explore ways to clean up your local community.

It's the last week few days of April. Make it count!
Here's what's happening around Beaufort and the Sea Islands.

Wednesday, April 22

Grounded Running Beaufort is teaming up with Beaufort Litter Patrol to host an Earth Day Cleanup event organizing a full clean up of the entire Spanish Moss Trail. Groups are meeting at 11:00am and 5:30pm but if you can’t meet one of the organized groups please grab a bag, and pick up some trash while you enjoy this amazing trail! Details.

Make Seaglass Wind Chimes at Shellring Ale Works
Host by Create with Camille. Tickets include one drink and all the supplies you'll need for your craft. 6-8 PM

Thursday, April 23

Women's Service Organization Recruiting New Members
The Junior Service League of Beaufort (JSLB) is opening its doors to membership in the community service organization. Stop by Marker 244 on Thursday, April 23 for a mixer to meet current members and learn more about the organization. 6-8 PM.

Sample a variety of local food trucks at this monthly event held at the Food Truck Court on Parris Island Gateway.

Books & Bites featuring Ifetayo J. White
The Beaufort Bookstore will host a book signing of Reiki Heart and Soul: Many Stories, One Bright Light! 4:30-6:30 PM

Lowcountry Mindful Motion and The Joyous Womb are teaming up for a community walk in appreciation of local moms! 4PM at the Port Royal Cypress Wetlands.

This month's event happens from 5:30 PM - 7PM at the Beaufort Digital Corridor.

Sprouts in Bloom - Port Royal

Sprouts in Bloom is a two-day open house and community celebration. Stop by for a chance to meet the teachers, parents, explore the classrooms, and experience firsthand the warmth, creativity that is Sea Island Sprouts Preschool in Port Royal.
